The Hilton Garden Inn is in a great spot, next to the convention center and IUP campus. At six stories high, is noticable when arriving. There is a restaurant on the the first floor, though we didn't get a chance to eat there. Our room is what I would classify as being normal in size, though the bathroom left a bit larger than normal. The room was clean, inviting, and nicely appointed. We had a great night sleep with no interruptions.
New hotel with good amenities. Polite staff. Only issues when there was draft beer and soda not working at the bar. Also, no fan in bathroom and shower kept getting hotter. Turned out room into a sauna for a while. Still nice.
The hotel was beautiful and the staff was extremely pleasant. Best of all, the rates were very reasonable. I'd say the price was even better than what I would have payed at some other less than desirable options in the area.
Hotel was clean and located with easy access to the town and freeway. The lobby check in was simple and staff was very friendly. Parking was ample. The only concer. Was the restaurant/bar staff. Theyg were sub par. Bartender didn't want to make a drink so tried to say they didn't carry a particular brand, even though we pointed out the bottle half full on display. Service was slow at the bar. Other than that the rest of the staff was polite and friendly.
We had an excellent stay here on November 2. Luckily, it was a quiet night as we didn't see many other guests. The room was very comfortable, clean and the staff friendly. It was also very easy walking distance to the IUP campus and Kovalchick Center. Would stay again when in the area!
