Don't get me wrong, the woman who helped my husband was wonderful. Extremely kind, helpful, and patient as he got a brand new style. His hair looks GREAT now. She is the only reason I am not giving the place one star. However, the majority of the stylists in the salon today were rude and dismissive, not only to customers, but also to each other. It's really quite a shame, because it was previously an affordable and positive experience for me. I haven't yet decided if I'll go back, but right now, I'm leaning toward "no." If I go back and things change, I will update the review.
The hairstylists definitely know what they're doing! Super friendly and amazing prices. My favorite in town!
i have found the stylists at this salon to be professional, attentive to my needs (and i am a particularly picky customer) and each of them in turn have always been respectful to me...if any thing untowards was said about me, it was after a great cut, color and styling and definitely after i was out the door...great gals and once in a while i do not have what i would consider an adequate tip, but each time that has happened, they were most gracious...i cannot imagine anyone wanting more from a salon or its stylists...
Previous experiences at this location have been great, but today my husband and I went in to get our hair cut. We didn't have an appointment, so waiting a little was no problem. They told us it would be about 30 minutes, but called my husband back after about 20 minutes - great! I sat for about 30 more minutes, and during that time, I experienced some terrible service. Two people came in after me (they did not have appointments because I heard the ladies at the front give them wait times of 30 or 45 minutes) but were taken back for their services before me. Additionally, a stylist came in for her shift, looked at the waitlist, made eye contact with me, and saw the other three waiting customers. Instead of helping us, she pulled up a chair and started gossiping about another stylist who called off for the day, talking quite loudly and rudely about how now she would have to "take a key home so she could open the store tomorrow since [the other stylist] was so unreliable and selfish." As soon the woman who I assume was the manager left to go get change for the cash register, two of the stylists started gossiping about her as well - in a full salon with customers waiting, hair to be swept off the floor, and work to be done. Needless to say, after my husband's hair cut was finished and we had waited another 10 minutes (total wait time for me was close to an hour while the stylists gossiped and wasted time), I left without being serviced.
I have been in this salon before, mainly for the price and I have had some really good experiences and very good hair cuts. Ray has been good to me and has given me great haircuts for two years. I am writing about this experience because I will not be returning to this salon. While my stylist was waxing my eyebrows she was yelling jokes at her fellow stylists and barely acknowledged that she was putting hot wax on my face. I heard jokes about Mexicans and the woman mentioned her blow up doll at home. Normally I can handle these types of jokes but she was rude from the beginning so I found it pretty irritating. She also hardly gave me a chance to talk about what I wanted with my hair, and I will say she did not do a half bad job with the actual cut. As I was leaving I heard her say something about how I will never be back and they all just laughed. Well you are right. I will not be returning. The staff at the time were very unprofessional and did NOT make me feel welcome or heard at all. I know I am not asking for alot, just a cheap hair cut but a little respect and professionalism goes a long way to maintaining a business.
