Went in with a whiny, rumbling engine and my car having trouble go up hills. Found out that my entire brakes system needed to be replaced, did that. Onto the main problem, they said my engine needed a tune up as a cylinder was misfiring. Got that done. $1500 later and my car is no better.
Went to this shop thinking my transmission was starting to go out but found out it was an issue completely different. The shop workers here were very friendly and helpful. They were quick and reliable to find the part I needed and fix it quickly. Fantastic place to go to get your vehicle fixed. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you are in the Indiana PA area and need work done on your car!
Every time I come here they do the best work! The first time I went I was almost on my way home to Maryland when my car started shaking violently. They made time for me that day and Dino called multiple Aamcos looking for the part they needed. They were able to fix my car that day so I could be in Maryland at a reasonable hour. Every time since then they make time for me when I take it in and my car is usually fixed that day. Today I took it in and they gave me a free oil change after changing my spark plugs! I absolutely recommend them over any other car repair shop in Indiana.
Edit: I went in explaining my problem and they looked at it again. Turns out it was a snowball effect caused by the need for a series of complex repairs. They did it all for free since I had already spent so much and now my car runs like brand new! They were very friendly about it and the manager even gave me a ride back to my town house after I dropped my car off.
The guys who work at Aamco are amazing! I brought my car in when my check engine light came on and when I brought it in for repairs (after they gave me a free scan), they were up front and honest about what needed to be done in order to fix the issue. Not only that, but they were able to find after-market parts for my car that would've cost me several hundred extra dollars had I gone to a dealership. I definitely plan on coming back to them in the future if my car has any more issues.
days ago I drove to several different shops around town to see if someone could change my headlight that morning because it was storming and I had a long drive ahead of me. My answer was the same at each one, they could put me on their schedule sometime next week. I was so discouraged and because AAMCO was right next to Advance Auto, I gave it one last shot and pulled in. I was immediately greeted with a warm smile and an eagerness to help. After explaining my problem, two mechanics immediately pulled my car into the garage. I couldn't believe that they would fix it and fit it right then! I was so excited! While I was waiting, I asked the owner and mechanic there about some problems I had been experiencing with my car stalling out. He said he could look at it and put it on the diagnostic machine for me, and that it would only take a few minutes. I readily agreed, and after reading the results from the diagnostic check he typed me out a detailed list of things that were showing problems. He then explained to me how I may be able to fix the stalling problem by simply doing a few minor things at home, and he included these instructions in his typed report. He could have charged me to do these things or even kept his advice to himself, but he didn't. This is so refreshing to see in a world filled with so many people who value the dollar more than their ethics. This man treated me as if I was his daughter who needed help and never once took advantage of me and my ignorance of all things related to cars. If you are looking for a mechanic who will deal honestly with you and runs his business with morals and kindness as well as expertise and efficiency, please give them a try. When I found out this man was also a man of God, I wasn't in the least surprised because it was reflected in his business morals. And as a Christian myself, I felt so secure in having my car in his hands, and feel like I need to spread the word about my experience there. The other mechanics there were also very respectful and worked together in a way that had me in and out in under 15 minutes. I'm so happy to finally have found a car repair shop that I can trust and rely on when unexpected repairs occur and that will make every effort to meet my needs! I am pleased to say that his advice to me concerning my stalling problem worked, my car has not stalled out since we followed his instructions, and my gas mileage has doubled. I am so thankful! You guys are AWESOME :)
